Mike Blue Thunder is preparing for the ceremony where he will receive his Lakota name. It’s a special tradition that will connect him to his people and their history, and everyone on the reservation Mike calls home is preparing in excitement for the big day. Everyone except for Mike’s grandpa, that is. As Mike learns more about his family’s history, he comes to understand the real importance of traditions.
