Bob Pirner is originally from Spring Creek Community on the Rosebud Lakota Reservation, and is a fluent speaker of the Lakota Sioux language. Growing up in an isolated community that held on to traditional values, Bob learned a way of life that honors generosity and courage. He currently resides in Elkins, West Virginia. He has written two books about nonprofit leadership using Lakota principles.
