Do your concept books include books on subjects like colors, shapes, and numbers?
No. While those kinds of books are sometimes called "concept books," they are different from the ones we publish. Click here to learn more about the Albert Whitman Concept Books.
Why don’t you have a Concept Book on Tourette's Syndrome? Or eating disorders? Or foster parents? (Etcetera.)
We're always considering new topics and issues. When we publish a book on a topic, it's because we believe we can reach a particular audience and fill a specific need. We also evaluate whether or not the topic can be handled well in a book for young children. There are so many important topics that deserve attention, and we address as many of them as we can.
