How can I write to an author or illustrator?
You may write to any of our authors and illustrators and we will be happy to forward your letter to them. Address the envelope with their name, c/o Albert Whitman & Company, 250 South Northwest Highway, Suite 320, Park Ridge, IL 60068.

Do any of your authors or illustrators visit schools, libraries or bookstores?
Yes, many of our authors and illustrators visit schools, libraries, or bookstores. They each maintain their own appointments and fee schedules. If you are interested in a particular author or illustrator, contact our marketing department and we will be happy to help you.

What else does your company do to promote an author's book?
Albert Whitman & Company exhibits at several national conventions every year, including the International Reading Association, the American Library Association and the Book Expo. We send the books to the major reviewers of children's literature such as School Library Journal and The Horn Book. We publish two catalogs a year, send samples of new books to more than 400 library systems across the country, and place advertisements in appropriate publications. Once you have a book published, we work with you on an individual basis to get your books to the places that matter.
